David Bergé

In the work of artist David Bergé, audiences participate, through hybrid and post-digital formats, into a journey of time-based installations, site-specific interventions, and text pieces – spoken and published.

What he is most known for, however, are his Walk Pieces, in which Bergé guides small groups of people for a silent walk, sliding along and piercing through the physical and climatic conditions of the built environment.
Recent commissions and presentations include M HKA, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp, SKD Staatliche Kunstsammlungen in Dresden, and Amado art space in Seoul. He was invited as an artist in residency at Pivô Research, São Paulo, The Cape Cod Modern House Trust, Wellfleet, USA, and Beta-Local in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In Athens, he founded and currently directs the imprint kyklàda.press
